The 3 Day 4WD Eco Experience to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon is perfect for people that like small groups, keeping away from the crowds, walking and soaking up the atmosphere of Central Australia but with all the comforts of home. Rather than just seeing these icons of the Red Centre, you will have the opportunity to really experience them. Departing from Alice Springs you will hit the road and travel directly to Kings Canyon visiting varying sights along the way. Begin the following day with an early Kings Canyon rim walk before heading to Uluru arriving in time for the Sound of Silence Dinner (additional charge). You will witness an Uluru sunrise and then have the option of climbing the rock. Choose to commence the tour in Ayers Rock or head back with your driver guide to Alice Springs.

3 Day Centre Highlights, Ayers Rock

On arrival, enjoy a leisurely drive out to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) while your Driver Guide will explain the geological and cultural history of the area. On day 2 rise early to watch the sunrise at Uluru then travel to the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta and a walk at Walpa Gorge. This afternoon travel around the base of Uluru with a local guide and learn about the native flora, fauna and intriguing cultural traditions of the traditional owners. Walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole before returning to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Travel to an exclusive venue to enjoy our delicious award-winning barbecue dinner. On day 3 travel to Kings Canyon, climb to the rim for views of Watarrka National Park or explore the canyon floor which is an easier walk. Travel on to Alice Springs to complete your tour.

This is 5 days of pure outback adventure! A relaxed style of 4WD travelling with small groups of up to only 16 people. All tours include Uluru/Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, Palm Valley and the West MacDonnell Ranges. Depending on seasonality and time, your guide may also take you to Rainbow Valley, East MacDonnell Ranges, Owen Springs or Ruby Gap. The adventure includes 2 nights bush camping under the stars and 2 nights in comfortable permanent camps. Go where the others don’t go! Witness the majesty of Uluru (Ayers Rock) as you walk to its base and hear stories of its cultural significance to the local Anangu people. Watch a spectacular Uluru sunset and enjoy a night of stargazing under the outback sky. Explore the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and join a guided walk through the Valley of the Winds. For the energetic, a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon leads to breathtaking views, or choose a more leisurely walk through the canyon floor. Follow the West MacDonnell Ranges and enjoy a refreshing swim at Ellery Creek followed by some hiking at Standley Chasm and Simpson’s Gap. In Alice Springs take a tour of the historic Overland Telegraph Station, School of the Air and the RFDS.
