Darwin Escape Package

With a relaxed, small-town feel, Darwin is Australia’s most unique capital city perched on a harbour five times the size of Sydney’s. Darwin is famous for its multicultural food, outdoor markets, waterside attractions with a warm holiday vibe year-round and the base to explore the wilderness areas of the Northern Territory.

Day 1 On arrival in Darwin, make your way into the city to the H on Smith Hotel for the next 5 nights. This evening, head to Darwin’s waterfront Bicentennial Park with great spots to watch the sunset. The park is a short walk from the waterfront precinct with an array of restaurants and bars.

Day 2 Enjoy the morning at leisure before joining an AAT Kings Darwin City Sights Tour . Learn about Darwin’s multicultural & WWII history along with visits to the Darwin Museum & Art Gallery , the Aviation Museum and Botanic Gardens.

Day 3 Enjoy this full day in the World Heritage, Kakadu National Park with Offroad Dreaming. Experienced, knowledgeable guides will share with you the history of this rich cultural heritage. Highlights include visits to Ubirr rock art sites, Nadab Lookout with 360° views over the wetlands and a Guluyambi Cultural Cruise on the East Alligator River.

Day 4 A day to explore the city! Stop in at the Darwin Visitors Centre and pick up a map for a self-guided walk that points out the city’s historic buildings. Later, experience the ultimate thrill with Darwin Adventure Boats with an exhilarating jetboat ride across the harbour before jumping on the airboat for the next round of fun. Keep an eye out in the waters below for sharks, crocs, dolphins and even stingrays as the V8 engine powers you across the mud for some sideway slides and 360 whirls.

Day 5 Bring the country to life on this small-group day tour from Darwin to Litchfield National Park with NT Indigenous Tours on the Litchfield Heritage Discovery Tour.
