72 Passenger Small Ship Cruise Vessel
Refurbished in 2016, Coral Discoverer is a 63 metre vessel, accommodating just 72 guests and is purpose-built for navigating the tidal rivers and rugged coastlines of the remarkable Kimberley coast.
Coral Discoverer features the trademark ‘Xplorer’ tender cradled on a hydraulic platform, which is boarded directly from the Main Deck, enabling guests to go ashore easily and comfortably. There are also two Zodiac tenders available for exploration.
With interiors expertly designed to provide the relaxed style of a tropical Queensland retreat, Coral Discoverer features expansive indoor and outdoor lounge and bar areas, including a sundeck complete with a round bar and deck chairs and an open bridge. Savour the table service and hospitality of the single seat dining room with a regionally sourced modern Australian menu.
Cruise Highlights
The vessel operates with the attentive all Australian crew, Expeditions Leader and Guest Lecturers who are selected for their knowledge and experience in history, anthropology and geology.
Excursions are aboard Xplorer, the unique specially designed excursion vessel. To board simply step aboard from the Main Deck and the ships hydraulic lift gently lowers the Xplorer into the water. With at least two landings most days you’ll have more time to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Kimberley.
Staterooms
Accommodation comprises 36 spacious, modern staterooms. Select from well-appointed Bridge Deck Balcony Staterooms, Promenade or Main Deck Staterooms offering a choice of twin or junior king beds. All staterooms have an ocean view, ensuite facilities, lounge (except Promenade B Staterooms), a large wardrobe and are serviced daily.
